Luminext is committed to protecting your privacy and the personal data you provide to us. That is why we explain to you in this privacy statement what data we process from you and why we do so.

Introduction

Your data will only be used for the purpose of optimal service and business operations. In doing so, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. When you share your personal data with us or when we collect personal data about you, we use them in accordance with this Privacy Statement. We therefore recommend that you read our Privacy Statement carefully. It explains what your personal data consists of and how we use, process and secure it.

Who processes your personal data?

Luminext BV, located at Schoudermantel 37, 3981 AE, in Bunnik, the Netherlands, is responsible for the processing of personal data as reflected in this privacy statement. What are personal data?

Information about individuals that identifies them (directly or in combination with other data) is called personal data. Examples of personal data are a person’s (company) name, address, place of residence, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address, app login data, profile photos, personal preferences, buying behaviour, surfing behaviour and financial data.

Why and on what basis does Luminext collect personal data?

At Luminext, the customer is always at the heart of our business, and for this we need to connect and communicate with you. This requires personal data. This enables us to develop optimal products for you and to fulfil the contract with our customers and suppliers as agreed. For the purpose of our product development and customer acquisition, we keep statistics. The analysis and examination of personal data is necessary to develop and improve our products and services and to provide you with information on products and activities that suit your personal interests and needs. To fulfil these purposes, Luminext links, combines and analyses available data to determine and align the most relevant target groups and segments, content, information, moments and channels. In short; personal data helps us deliver exactly what you want and serve you (even) better.

From whom does Luminext collect personal data?

Luminext obtains and processes personal data from persons involved in the purchase or delivery of products or services, from website visitors, from persons who contact Luminext or who have a business relationship with Luminext. For example, if you:

  • products purchased from us
  • products sold to us
  • indicates that you wish to receive our newsletters
  • participating in a competition or promotion
  • participates in activities, surveys or (customer/panel) studies
  • visit our website directly or via a link
  • work at or for us
  • apply to us or contact us for this purpose
  • has a business relationship with Luminext
  • enter or leave your details in one of our branches

For what purposes does Luminext process personal data?

Luminext processes personal data for the following purposes:

  • executing the agreement between Luminext and its customers and suppliers, such as processing orders, delivering orders, informing about orders, placing orders and handling payments
  • maintaining a customer database for future orders
  • improving the user-friendliness of our websites
  • performing internal (quality) analysis and product development to improve our products and services for you
  • informing on product, project and industry developments
  • carrying out application procedures

What personal data does Luminext collect?

Luminext collects the following data, which are data you have provided to us:

  • personal identification data and characteristics: company name with address and place of business, your first name, surname, sex, date of birth, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • order details: which items, quantity ordered, order date and price.
  • electronic identification and interaction data: IP address, device type and data, cookie IDs, browsing behaviour and which pages you visit on www.luminext.eu, email preferences for the e‑ mail newsletters, email newsletter open and click behaviour, preferences and interests, opinions and social media usage.

How long does Luminext keep your personal data?

We do not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which we hold it. This is to meet your wants and needs or to comply with our legal obligations.

Provision of data to third parties

Luminext does not share your personal data with third parties unless this is necessary for the performance of the agreement or internal business operations or because it is required by legal regulations. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Luminext remains responsible for this processing. Your personal data will never be offered for sale by Luminext.

Your personal data and other websites

On www.luminext.eu you will find links to other websites, for example those of partners. This privacy statement does not apply to these other websites. Luminext is not responsible for how these websites handle your personal information. Please read the privacy statement of the website you visit.

Cookie statement

Luminext uses cookies and similar techniques. Cookies are small text files placed on a PC, tablet or mobile phone by an internet page. Cookies ensure, for example, that our website functions optimally and that your preferences on the website are remembered. In addition, cookies help us to optimise the website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to no longer store cookies. In addition, you can delete any information previously stored via your browser’s settings. Automated decision-making

Luminext does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that could affect individuals. These are decisions that are made by computer programmes or systems, without any human (e.g. an employee of Luminext) being involved.

What are your privacy rights?

We would like you to know exactly how we process your personal data, but also that it is up-to-date. Therefore, you can request to see, amend and correct your data. Of course, you can also let us know that you want to restrict our processing of your data or no longer consent to us processing your data. Since the data belongs to you, you can also ask us to delete it or transfer it to you.

You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to Luminext to the Data Protection Officer at privacy@luminext.eu. For security reasons, please send a copy of your proof of identity; in this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
